Song - Mann Mohana

Here is another high pitched song. A (thankfully?!!!) short fragment of the song Mann Mohana from Jodha Akbar. Not sure what it is with me and these high pitched songs today. I have used the Vocal Reflection effect from the great GarageBand to give a more spatial feeling. You can check out the original song on youtube

Song - Tere Mere Beech Mein

Here's a rather bold attempt, a fragment of the eternal song Tere Mere Beech Mein from Ek Duje Ke Liye. For the uninitiated here is the original song. For the others hope you can bear my attempt at this song.

Song - O Sathi Re

A post after a short break. Here's the song O Sathi Re from the film Omkara. My version has more bass to it than Vishal Bhardwaj's original.

Song - Padaam Namukku Paadam

Again one more old song. Padaam Namukku Paadam from the movie Yuvajanotsavam (1986). Excellent music by Raveendran and the original song was rendered by K. J. Yesudas and S. P. Shailaja.

Song - Oru Chiri Kandal - Karaoke

My first attempt at singing karaoke. This is the initial part of the song Oru Chiri Kandal from the movie Ponmudi Puzhayorathu. Music by the great Ilayaraja and originally sung by Vijay Yesudas and Manjari. I found that singing to the sound of instruments, especially the syncing part is rather tough. :-). I have sung this same song earlier without the music and it felt easier at that time.

Song - Dil Kyun Yeh Mera

A short stretch of the song Dil Kyun Yeh Mera Shor Karen from the movie Kites. Nice and simple lyrics and tune. Wonderful work by Rajesh Roshan and Shaan in the original song. Here's my version of it.

Song - Vellai Pookal

Just a small bit of the song Vellai Pookal from Kannathil Mutthamittaal. I have added the Ambient Vocals effect from Garageband as a trial. Here's the original in case you are curious.

Song - Raja Raja Chozhan

One more for the day - the song Raja Raja Chozhan from Rettai Vaal Kuruvi. Composed by the great Ilayaraja, the original song was sung by K. J. Yesudas. I love the guitar bits and bass runs from this song, Of course you won't find these in my silent background version below. ;-).

Song - Yamuna Veruthe Paadunnu

Okay, here's the next song. Yamuna Veruthe Padunnu from the movie Ore Kadal. Again wonderful music by Ouseppachan. The original was sung by the female singer Shwetha Mohan so there is like a change of tone with my rendition. Added a little vocal reflection effect to spruce it up. All songs in this movie are supposed to be in the same raagam so you will likely find a similarity between this and the song in my previous post.

Song - Nagaram Vidhuram

This is a short bit of the song Nagaram Vidhuram from Ore Kadal. The music is by Ouseppachan and lyrics are written by Girish Puthenchery. I might add a longer version of this song at a later time. Here is a link to the original song
